ACCESSIBILITY

  1. At Nomadic Enigma we devote considerable effort to making both our organisation and our website accessible to people with disabilities, promoting equality and transparency for all users.
    1.1 Our guiding principle is respect for human dignity and liberty.
    1.2 We invest significant resources so everyone—especially people with disabilities—can enjoy a full browsing experience.

  2. What is an accessible website?
    2.1 An accessible site enables a person with a disability to surf with the same efficiency and enjoyment as any other user, by utilising the features of their device and assistive technologies.

  3. Accessibility adjustments on this site
    3.1 Modifications were carried out in line with Section C (Internet Services) of Israel’s Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments) 2013 and Israeli Standard 5568, which is based on WCAG 2.0.
    3.2 The site is adapted to WCAG 2.1 level AA, with changes and exceptions noted in the Israeli standard.
    3.3 An accessibility plug-in has been installed that supports WCAG, EAA, and ADA requirements.

  4. Accessibility plug-in
    4.1 The application aims to meet the strictest requirements of the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (level AA).
    4.2 It helps users who are blind, have motor, visual, or cognitive impairments, and more.
    4.3 Built for Shopify sites, it uses: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL.

  5. Plug-in options (accessible via the icon on any page)
    5.1 Contrast – adjust site contrast levels.
    5.2 Font size – increase or decrease text size.
    5.3 Highlight links – emphasise all hyperlinks.
    5.4 Pointer – enlarge the mouse cursor for easier navigation.
    5.5 Stop animations – pause videos and CSS animations.

  6. Best accessibility practice
    6.1 For optimal accessible browsing we recommend the latest versions of Chrome, Edge, and Firefox together with screen readers NVDA, JAWS, or VoiceOver.
